A few painting friends spent all day last Saturday on my deck painting, listening to great music, eating, drinking wine and enjoying a great day. My sister in law asked me to paint a picture for a Pop art exhibit for Art4Heart. I am also posting a couple of pictures of my friends. I am so blessed to be surrounded by talented artists. Can't wait until the next painting day.

An Angel for My Friend

I cannot remember ever painting a painting for someone and having the strong sense that God wanted to send someone a message like I did when painting this. It was very clear to me that the painting had nothing to do with me but just that my brush was being used. I certainly do not want to sound overly spiritual because I am more aware than anyone that I am not that. But I am honored that I could paint a picture for my friend who just lost her husband very prematurely and to give her the promise found in John 14:18 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."

Lizzie - SOLD

I think this painting depicts the vastness of God and His creation and a little girl and admiration of that creation. Lizzie is the daughter of a really good friend who actually babysat my children years ago. I am honored she would have me paint this of her own daughter.
